Plastic Surgery by our 5 Star Certificate Award-Winning Surgeon
Consultant Plastic Surgeon Mr Javaid is a highly qualified Cosmetic Surgeon. Mr Javaid is an accredited surgeon with the FRCS (Plast.) qualification and the Award of Cosmetic Surgery Certification Scheme granted by the Intercollegiate Cosmetic Surgery Oversight Committee of Surgical Royal Colleges of the UK.
He is a full member of the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS). He also holds full membership in the British Association of Plastic Reconstructive Aesthetic Surgeons (BAPRAS).
He has a wealth of experience and expertise in the NHS to provide complex reconstructions for breast, body and face conditions and provide a wide range of cosmetic surgery procedures in the private sector. He offers consultations and treatments for various conditions and anti-ageing procedures at Facial Perfection Clinic in Derby.
Various skin lesions, including moles, lumps and bumps, sebaceous cysts and lipomas, can appear on any area of the body, including the face. Many people find these a source of discomfort or interfere with their daily functions. Others may feel these cause them social embarrassment, hence seeking removal.
Mr Javaid has a wealth of experience dealing with skin lesions, moles, lumps and bumps, lipomas, and skin cancers. As an in-and-out procedure, he performs these surgeries under local anaesthetic while you are awake. He will happily guide you during consultation on the nature of your skin lesion and the appropriate treatment required.
Most of the lesions are excised, resulting in a neat scar. However, in larger lesions following excision, he also performs skin grafts and local flaps for reconstruction where necessary, providing an aesthetically pleasing result as technically as possible.

Brow sagging is a natural consequence of the combined effect of age-related skin laxity and the continued impact of gravity. Plastic Surgeon Mr Muhammad Javaid provides a Short Scar Brow Lift procedure, resulting in a scar hidden in the hairline area. A brow lift is commonly used to help patients aged forty onward whose eyebrows have begun to droop or sag; this also impacts the forehead skin and upper eyelids.
A brow lift is a technique for elevating the eyebrow and lower forehead to reduce the ageing signs associated with weak and sagging eyebrows, potentially contributing to the heavy appearance of upper eyelids. It also improves horizontal furrows and lines, which cause a person to look tired, sad, or angry.
Mr Javaid performs this surgery under local anaesthesia while you are awake, and you can converse with him during the procedure. This surgery is performed as an in-and-out procedure with an expected operating time of 1.5-2 hours.
Dimples are the indentations that occur during smiling in some people. Some people are born with naturally occurring dimples from indentations in the dermis caused by the pull of attachment from deeper facial muscles. Dimples are considered in some cultures as a sign of beauty, good luck, and even fortune. Due to such perceived benefits, dimple surgeries have increased significantly in recent years.
Plastic Surgeon Mr Muhammad Javaid provides Dimple Creation or Dimpleplasty plastic surgery procedures. Dimpleplasty or Dimple Creation procedure is performed under local anaesthesia to create dimples on the cheeks using stitches between the skin dermis and deeper tissue to create artificial indentations.
The patient remains awake during the Dimpleplasty or Dimple Creation procedure and can collaborate with Mr Javaid throughout the progress. The process takes 30-45 minutes under local anaesthetic as an in-and-out procedure.

Plastic Surgeon Mr Muhammad Javaid provides Prominent Ear Correction, Otoplasty or Pinnaplasty plastic surgery procedures. Prominent Ear Correction, or Otoplasty ears pinning back surgery or Pinnaplasty, is an excellent procedure to correct prominent ears. The cartilage within the ear is adjusted, and missing folds are created whilst setting the ear in a position that lies closer to the head.
During the Ear Correction procedure, Mr Javaid makes a cut behind the ear, removes some skin, and subsequently sutures the cartilage so that it bends backwards, closer to the head. To hold the ear in the new position, long-lasting stitches are used. Removal of small portions of cartilage may also be essential at times, and minor procedures may be required to reduce the size of abnormally large ear lobes. Finally, a dressing is wrapped around the head to protect the ear.
In children, general anaesthesia is commonly used for the operation; however, local anaesthesia is used for adults. The procedure takes approximately 90 minutes and is done as a day case.

Plastic Surgeon Mr Muhammad Javaid provides Split Earlobe Repair plastic surgery procedure. The Split Earlobe Repair technique is relatively simple compared to other cosmetic procedures. However, a considerate surgical approach is required to obtain average-looking earlobes.
Incisions are carefully made on each side of the split lobe to freshen up the edges. Very fine stitching is then performed to repair split edges neatly for the desired result.
Plastic Surgeon Mr Muhammad Javaid provides Eyelid Surgery or Blepharoplasty. Eyelid Surgery for eye area rejuvenation is also known as Blepharoplasty. It is a surgical procedure performed for various reasons, such as people who want to get rid of extra loose, lax skin causing visual field obstruction or fat bags beneath the eye can undergo this surgery.
Eyelid Surgery is also performed to reduce your eyes' puffy and bagginess appearance. Women also find the lax skin interfering with eye makeup due to the obstruction of the lid crease contributing to an aged and tired eye appearance. Eyelid Surgery is helpful in appropriate patients. The process can be generally carried out by anyone from age 40 onward.
Eyelid Surgery only treats the natural eyelid lines within the eye sockets. It is not the treatment for crow's feet appearance, which may require Anti Wrinkle injections in addition to Eyelid Surgery or Blepharoplasty.
This procedure aims to achieve a fresher, alert, youthful and rejuvenated eye area appearance. Mr Javaid offers surgery for both upper and lower eyelids and local anaesthesia, awake twilight anaesthesia, or general anaesthesia, as the patient prefers.
This surgery takes approximately 1 hour to 1.5 hours for upper and generally 1.5 hours for lower Blepharoplasty and is done as a day case in most patients. Mr Javaid will guide you on the suitability of your case during detailed clinic consultation, which lasts approximately 45 minutes.
Plastic Surgeon Mr Muhammad Javaid provides various types of Facelifts or Rhytidectomy plastic surgery procedures. Facelift, or Rhytidectomy, is a surgical procedure that removes wrinkles and tightens SMAS facial muscles, which have become loose due to ageing. A facelift lifts the facial tissues and folds caused by saggy skin to make it tighter and smoother, giving the face a youthful look.
Facelift surgery can improve the facial, jowls, jawline, chin and neck regions. This operation is a good option to achieve a more youthful, wrinkle-free, and fresher face rather than an aged, tired-looking face.
The kind of facelift procedure depends on several factors like your age, expectations from the surgery and available recovery time. If you plan to lose weight, it is advisable to do so before the surgery for improved results.
Mr Javaid offers various types of different facelift procedures and will guide you on the most suitable option in your case following a detailed consultation which lasts approximately 45-60 minutes.
Plastic and Cosmetic Surgeon Mr Muhammad Javaid provides Mini Facelift plastic surgery procedures for suitable patients. It is a pretty popular operation among many patients requesting facial rejuvenation surgery.
As suggested by the name, Mini Facelift is a mini or less invasive version of a full facelift with less downtime and faster recovery. It is more beneficial to relatively younger patients in their 40s to 50s who want to address early soft tissue sagging of the lower face and jowls.
The Mini Facelift is also suitable for patients with advanced age-related deformities who want to choose less invasive surgery. It comes with the advantages of relatively more minor scars, shorter operation, less downtime, and quicker recovery due to the less invasive nature of surgery.
A Mini Facelift can be performed under local anaesthetic. At the same time, you remain awake or under twilight sedation in addition to local anaesthesia or alternately under general anaesthesia as per your preference. It is generally done as day-case surgery.

Plastic Surgeon Mr Muhammad Javaid provides La Facelift or Awake Facelift plastic surgery procedures. The La Facelift, also known as Awake Facelift, is performed under local anaesthesia to improve the appearance of the cheeks, jowls, jawline and neck.
The La Facelift recovery time is quicker as it is relatively less invasive. Generally, there is less bruising and swelling associated with the La Facelift procedure. The patient remains awake during the La Facelift procedure and can collaborate with Plastic Surgeon Mr Javaid throughout the progress.
Plastic Surgeon Mr Muhammad Javaid provides Twilight Facelift or Conscious Sedation Facelift plastic surgery procedures.
The Twilight Facelift, also known as Conscious Sedation Facelift, is performed under local anaesthesia. At the same time, the patient remains sleepy and calm but awake during the Twilight Facelift and can collaborate with Plastic Surgeon Mr Javaid and follow instructions all through the progress.
The Twilight Facelift aims to boost self-confidence by rejuvenating and improving facial appearance.
MACS Facelift is a mini version of the Standard Facelift with limited small scars. This operation tightens the cheek and lifts the jawline without a formal neck lift.
MACS Facelift is suitable for patients who do not require much correction and are keen to address their ageing face early rather than leaving things for advanced stages, with much skin laxity and sagging of the face and neck.
However, due to its limited nature, this operation is unsuitable for patients with loose, lax skin and bands involving the neck, which can only be fully addressed with a formal Facelift.
Standard Facelift tightens the skin on your face and neck, down from the ears and eyes. Plastic Surgeon Mr Muhammad Javaid also tightens the jawline and performs a neck lift at the same time as a part of this operation, and you do not need to pay any extra for a neck lift.
He also performs liposuction of the under-chin area and jawline to contour the face as required during a full Facelift. A typical full facelift procedure will require you to stay overnight at the hospital/clinic after your surgery, which can take around 4 hours. It is generally performed under anaesthesia and may affect your consciousness level and coordination; for this reason, please ensure that you have someone to drive you home in the morning.

Plastic Surgeon Mr Muhammad Javaid offers a Volumetric Facelift plastic surgery procedure. With age, some people tend to lose facial fat, causing deflated, the sunken appearance of the face.
Volumetric Facelift surgery is performed using fat injections to improve the volume of the face in conjunction with other facelift techniques in suitable patients and to restore an overall youthful and healthy appearance to the patient's face.

Plastic Surgeon Mr Muhammad Javaid provides a Neck Lift plastic surgery procedure. Neck lift surgery can produce pleasing and satisfying results in treating vertical bands, loose and sagging skin, and turkey wattles, also referred to as turkey gobblers or heavy necks, giving you a smooth and shapely neck.
Neck lift Surgery removes banding, excess skin and fatty tissues while reinstating your neck's smooth and refined appearance. The best candidates for the Neck Lift plastic surgery procedure are non-smokers with realistic expectations of results and general good health.
No specific age is cited for a neck lift surgery, and candidates ranging from the thirties to eighties can benefit; however, you may be excluded from surgery if you suffer from certain diseases. Plastic Surgeon Mr Javaid will review your medical record to determine the risks and a suitable treatment plan.
Depending on the individual's need, different techniques are used to perform neck lift surgery:
The skin elasticity of the neck and the extent of sun damage will influence the surgery outcome. However, superior surgical procedures effectively restore the attractive contour of the neck and help many patients get rid of their problems.
Complexity wise, a neck lift procedure is similar to a mini Facelift and can take up to 3 hours. It can be performed under local anaesthesia, twilight sedation or general anaesthesia per the patient's preference. Mr Javaid performs neck lifts as a day-case procedure in most patients.
Following any facelift or neck lift surgery, you will be given a clinic appointment for a wound check and removal of stitches one week after your surgery. You will be followed up in 8 weeks to ensure all tissue settled well to its final shape before discharge.
Plastic Surgeon Mr Muhammad Javaid provides Lip Reduction plastic surgery procedures. For most patients, the lip reduction procedure is performed under local anaesthesia on an outpatient basis.
Candidates for Lip Reduction surgery include patients that have naturally large lips. It can also be performed on patients unhappy with the results of a permanent lip augmentation procedure done in the past. In addition, patients should be in good health and not smoke cigarettes for a month before and after surgery.
During the lip reduction procedure, a horizontal incision is created on the inside of the lip. Then, excess fat and tissue is removed from the lip before closing the incision with stitches. The lip reduction procedure can be performed on the upper and lower lip to improve the patient's appearance and balance out facial features.

Upper Lip elongation and sagging happen with age due to the combined effect of age-related thinning, laxity of deeper support structures and gravity. It results in loss of show of the red part of the upper lip and hiding the bottom end of the upper teeth during a smile. It affects the quality of the smile and contributes to an aged appearance.
The surgery of lip lifts is becoming increasingly popular. Cosmetic Surgeon Mr Muhammad Javaid offers lip lift surgery under local anaesthetic to help rejuvenate the upper lip, give a youthful look and regain a beautiful smile.
Some people are prone to develop thick raised scars called Keloids following previous trauma or surgery, even after a minor insect bite or ear piercing. These could be distressing for the patients, eroding their self-confidence and causing severe itching.
Consultant Plastic Surgeon Mr Javaid has expertise in dealing with these tricky scars. These usually require careful planning for excision in intralesional excision or de-bulking of the significant part of the scar, followed by a series of steroid injections at periodic intervals. Cosmetic Surgeon Mr Javaid performs most Keloid surgeries under local anaesthesia as an in-and-out procedure.
