After years of tired, strained eyes comes the time where you start to notice dark circles appearing under your eyes. Having tried endless drugstore creams and concealers - Not being able to look the way you feel can be frustrating.

Though this isn’t a serious health problem, dark circles under the eyes can make you look tired, older, or unhealthy.

Causes of Dark Circles

Commonly caused by fatigue and the natural aging process, there are some other factors to why you have developed dark circles and under eye bags. These are:

  • Lack of sleep
  • Atopic dermatitis (eczema)
  • Contact dermatitis
  • Heredity
  • Pigmentation irregularities
  • Scratching or rubbing eyes
  • Sun exposure

Fillers for Dark Circles

Dermal fillers have been proven effective as a treatment for a under eye hollows. After being injected, it can effectively refresh and reduce dark circles under the eyes.

By injecting small amounts of fillers into the eye bags, we can reduce dark circles for up to 6 months. As well, you may need to have injections into your cheeks; this is to keep your face looking two-dimensional and not flat.

Dark Circles Frequently Asked Questions

How long will the results last for?

Injectable fillers can up to last between 3-6 months and you can start to see results immediately.

Are there any side effects or risks to treatment?

  • Headache  
  • Flu-like symptoms  
  • Droopy eyelid (for facial injections)  
  • Eye dryness or tearing (for facial injections)

Is the treatment painful?

You may think it will hurt a tiny bit, but we do administer a topical anaesthetic to minimise discomfort. As it is being injected into a delicate area, do expect a minor pinching sensation.

How long does treatment take?

What to do before your appointment?
