How Does Eyelid Surgery in Derby Work?

At our Derby Blepharoplasty clinic, we perform the treatment under local anaesthetic, though general anaesthetic can be used if preferred. For upper eyelid surgery, incisions are made in the natural folds of the eyelids, while lower eyelid surgery involves incisions just below the lashes. In some cases, a small extension may be made at the corners or crow’s feet to remove sagging muscle and excess fat.

If you have excess fat deposits beneath your lower eyelids, a transconjunctival approach can be used where incisions are made through the inside of the eyelid. This method helps reduce wrinkles and tightens under-eye skin without the appearance of external scars.
